Programs

Our Programs

The vision of Montessori Educational Center is to develop a community of creative, independent, socially responsible children. Our mission is to educate and nurture the whole child and instill a lifelong love of learning in a caring, authentic Montessori environment. We offer programs for children 18 months through 14 years of age.
Toddler

We offer two toddler classrooms. Each room is small, with a maximum of 13 students, led by two Montessori certified teachers. These environments are designed for children ages 18 – 36 months old. The classrooms are set up to encourage independence, build confidence, and offer freedom for children to safely explore and learn through discovery. Learning in the toddler environment is centered around refining gross and fine motor skills, language acquisition, independence, and the development of social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

After School Activities

When the school day is over at Montessori Educational Center in Alexandria, LA, there is more learning and fun available. We offer after school child care until 5:30 p.m. Children who stay after school have the opportunity for supervised indoor and outdoor play, time to complete homework, or options to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities to engage students in new skills to develop mind and body.
